It's been years since I've seen anybody in the claim area checking tags. Considering the terrible baggage pileups that regularly occur when the conveyors get jammed, there's nobody there doing anything else either. -- Bert Hyman St. Paul, MN |

1000 pieces stolen luggage
at LAX, I almost always encounter the contract security people around
the baggage claim area. all it would take is a contract security or even some volunteers just their presence should help but also matching claim stub with bag tag JOHN Bert Hyman wrote: In "Sancho Panza" wrote: "Shegan" wrote in message ... That lasted a while and then just disappeared. Maybe the increased traffic volume compared to the space available for people to queue up simply made the process impossible to maintain.
