Default Monterey CA area lodging

While checking up on the Monterey Jazz Festival for this year I came across this page:
http://www.montereypreferredprovider.com/index.html
Good central reference for lodging in the area.

For others looking for feedback for area housing:
In Seaside I've stayed at the LaQuinta several times (cheap room) and
Doubletree (suite) has a nice lounge in lobby .Both are right off Rt 1 at DelMonte.

Normandy Inn in Carmel - 'homey' B&B. Halfway up the 'main hill' so easy walking.

The Coachman's Inn in Carmel - not so central a location but good for families - movies/VCR's in the rooms. Jacuzzi etc.

Grand View Inn and Seven Gables Inn in Pacific Grove - across from ocean - Great for couples !

And if money's no problem, and you can wait for the reservation, the best place was right on 18th hole at Pebble Beach - Ocean view. Did it once with golf package - had to wait about 18 months for a slot and was nutty price ( Like $700 per night), but it was awesome.
Comfort Inn is really more our price range now though.
