Award-Winning California Vintner Highlights December Cruise From

MIAMI, Aug. 4
Award-winning California winemaker Gary Eberle will join Seabourn
Spirit as a special Dress Circle guest expert on a 12-day cruise of
Thailand & Temples of Burma, sailing roundtrip from Singapore December

In 2004, Eberle Winery celebrated 25 years of making ultra premium
wines in Paso Robles, California. A former Penn State defensive
lineman, Eberle developed a fascination with fine wines during
graduate studies in cellular genetics at Louisiana State University.
Later, while enrolled in the doctoral program in oenology at
University of California, Davis, Eberle became convinced of the
untapped potential in Paso Robles and moved there in 1973. His first
vintage, a 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon, was released in 1982.

Since then, Eberle wines have won a veritable treasure trove of gold
and silver medals in domestic and international competitions for
varietals including cabernet, chardonnay, zinfandel, syrah and
viognier, and earned the Paso Robles Appellation a reputation as
lustrous as that of its California neighbors to the north.
