Boston: Inexpensive Motel near Public Transit
Hi there,
I would like to find an inexpensive motel, (about $60-70 US would be good), near the public transit system so I can park my car and ride the transit into downtown Boston. I will be coming in from Maine. Last time I stayed at the EconoLodge in Malden which was adequate, but I would really like to find something a little nicer! Thanks - I appreciate your time and help! Unfortunately, I don't think you will find anything in that price range within mass transit of Boston. Let alone something "a little nicer." But, good luck! |

A few miles north of Malden just about 0.2 mi. north of the Rt 1 & 128
intersection there are 3 hotels right in a row. One is a Hampton Inn. From there drive to Revere (about 20 min) to Wonderland or Revere Beach "T" stations. Also in Revere, within walking distance to both Wonderland (5 min.) & Revere Beach (15 min) stations is a Comfort Inn (At Bells Circle). MLD "Joy M" wrote in message ... Of course as with all this type of thing it depends upon when you're staying (and what your definition of near is) but last September we stayed at the Holiday Inn in Randolph which was was about $80 a night and within very easy reach of a couple of MBTA stations - we chose Quincy North which has a large car park. |

For your price range, you'd be lucky to find an animal kennel that would rent you a room. Boston and the area surrounding Boston is insanely expensive for hotel rooms. Check the popular web travel sites to see what you can find, but I doubt you'll find anything decent in your price range, .... unless maybe if you bid on priceline.com |

I stayed at a Best Western on Commonwealth Ave on the Green Line. The rooms
have kitchenetts, and it is near Boston College, but the rate is probably around $90. Tom |
