Default London on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day

I understand that the Tube doesn't run in London on Christmas Day. But
what's open/what is there to do? Are shops and/or museums open on
Christmas Eve and Boxing Day?

thanks.

no museums close early on Christmas Eve and are closed through Boxing Day

We planned to do a little last minute Christmas shopping on Christmas
Eve which is something of a tradition for some in the US and so stores
are open late -- what we found is that shops closed early -- by 5 or so
on Christmas Eve

We had breakfast at our apartment Christmas morning and then drove to
relatives in East Anglia for Christmas dinner and Boxing Day -- there is
pretty much nothing open commercially at that time so plan ahead

Another warning -- although we had reserved a rental car knowing the
tube/trains etc would not be operating and we planned to drive to
relatives, when we arrived on time for the car the afternoon of the
24th, they were out and about half a dozen others were in the same
situation. Our agency drove the whole crew of stiffed customers out to
the airport and managed to get cars assigned [presumably some poor soul
arriving later at the airport would eventually get stiffed] We were
lucky to get the car. Apparently since car reservations are not to be
had right at the holidays, people rent a couple days ahead and then just
don't turn their cars in on time -- so those with reservations end up
without cars. If you plan to drive on Christmas and Boxing Day, you
might want to book the car a day or two ahead.

That's the problem of renting from city centre companies. The same thing
happened me in San Francisco a few years back. Rather than wait for
several hours while they brought vehicles in from their airport site, I
accepted their offer of an 8-person people carrier. Quite roomy for the
two of us, though it took me about half an hour to work out how to move
it.
