Default 8 Hours of Flying. I'm Hungry

I will be flyhing coach in the near future. With layover it works out
to eight hours in either a plane or in an airport. My stomach can no
longer deal with hamburgers and fries. I am looking for suggestions for
what type of food to bring. The food will have to travel well, as I
don't want to give myself food poisioning. I would also like it be so
good that other passangers will look over and become envious. ;-)
Any suggestions?

I generally like sandwiches from places likce Subway or Blimpie - decent
food, and definitely better than what American and Northwest, to name just
two, are selling on their 8 hour flights.

| Don't they feed you on the plane?

Airline meals will hardly cause anyone to look at your plate with
mouth-watering envy.

Not quite mouth watering envy but MAS and Emitates do a pretty good job in
cattle class.

Don't you find it difficult squeezing a moose into your carryon? (though
I suppose it must appreciate the crackers)
