Are you for real? Did you step out of the 1880's or something? He wasn't
"pushed over the top" he was overwhelmingly elected and sent your white male
GOP into exile as a regional Southern-based party. Where it will die.

Go into exile with the rest of them! (or try coming into the 21st century)

Check the statistics before you make such a statement.
Hardly overwhelmingly!!!! 52.9% is not overwhelming!

Really Ms Donna? You observations having lived there for over 30 years
is not consistent with what I have seen visiting Europe more times
over those same years than I care to try counting.

With the proliferation of information on the internet it is getting
harder and harder for a self proclaimed, but biased "historian" to
lie isn't it Ms Donna?

Pay toilet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"...Modern times

Pay toilets are not uncommon in Europe. Paris, in particular, makes
heavy use of them; the streets of the city are forested with self-
cleaning, coin-op booths (landmarks like Sacre-Coeur generally have
several). Riders on the Metro may encounter coin-op toilets in the
underground stations; and even non-mechanized toilets occasionally
have attendants who expect tips...."

Gotta agree with you there CP.

He certainly wasn't elected based on qualifications and experience.

And Texas, which used to be staunchly republican, is now over 40%
Democratic. Do you doubt that the republican party is a regional party with
94% whites as their base? Do you deny that the right wing religious nuts are
running it into the ground? Why did those Hispanics vote for Obama? Is it
because of the racism of the republicans? When you follow Rush Limbaugh, you
are following the republican party right into the ground.

Republicans are losing Texas; they've already lost the rest of the U.S.
Jean, YOU'RE the minority.

And just think about it, Pat...why are the Hispanics voting for Obama? What
has been promised to the illegals who are in this country by the Democratic
party? They are getting drivers licenses and using them to vote. I've
worked at a voting place and you would be amazed at how many try to vote
illegally...Who floods the hospitals here in Texas to get free medical care
because things are so bad in Mexico?...How many pregnant women flee over the
border to have their babies here at tax payer expense so that they can
automatically become US citizens? Look at California...the state has gone
bankrupt because of this...Same is happening in "sanctuary cities" all over
the US.
It's not the matter of what party is losing or winning...it's what is
happening in this country...so many not wanting to work but get a free
meal...work ethic has gone out the window. It's more profitable to be lazy,
stay at home, and get on the welfare rolls than to go to work.

There are so many things wrong with those two sentences that I wouldn't know
where to begin. Do you not think that the "free" health care is not paid
from their taxes? Do you not understand that Ryan Air's decision is a
business decision of a struggling air carrier and not "mentality of the
European"?

Not even that. Mr O'Leary is known for provocative off-the-cuff remarks.
probably has no such intention. Just got himself some great free
publicity for his airline.

I'm in Europe and my health care is not free. I maintain a mandatory
health insurance account whose price and coverage are regulated by law.
It's paid for half by my employer and half by me.

In the end the taxpayers finance the healthcare. So it goes in "Europe" and
elsewhere. Don't crosspost horse manure.
