Default Vietnamese Food in New Orleans' French Quarter - When you just can't handle another po'boy

Looking for a different lunch place? Try Mahealani's Restaurant in the
French Quarter. It's at 811 Conti Street. You won't find their name on
the sign out front. Don't be fooled by the address either -- you have
to walk through Erin's Irish Pub to the very back into a little room
with a half dozen or so stools. The food is very good from a limited
menu. You order through a little window in the wall and can eat in or
take out. Try #1 -- Spring rolls(this is rice paper, soft and chewy
not fried) filled with shrimp, etc. and peanut dipping sauce; then a
#9 Grilled pork and fried rolls served over noodles, lettuce, cukes,
carrots, with a vinegar dressing/nuoc cham sauce. If you want a soda,
go to the bar up front. Otherwise you may wish to try their #13
(Thai-style) Ice coffee made with sweetened condensed milk. If you go,
tell Scott that Julie from Florida recommended you stop by. PS
They're closed on Mondays...
