Default people living in Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan foliage help

I might be going up to your area soon since I can't afford to go on a trip
to New England this year. What are the best places for scenery and foliage
in these areas? I think a friend in Chicago mentioned Door County in
Wisconsin a few years ago for foliage? That right? What other places? I plan
on leaving in the middle of next week or possibly later if that is too
early...

thanks

Yes, it is very senic. Another area up there is around Baraboo, app. 45 miles
North of Madison. Devil's Lake is awesome.
