Default When are the cheapest days to fly between December 21 and January 2? Including holidays?

Hi, I know that airfare is usually really expensive around Christmas,
but I have heard that it is cheaper if you fly on Christmas Day
itself? Is that true? Does the same apply for New Years or New Years
Eve?

My boyfriend and I want to go somewhere sunny and warm (perhaps Costa
Rica, we have a friend there) over the school break and we can travel
on holidays if we have to.

Please advise, thanks!

I would recommend you check multiple dates, as soon as possible, as
Christmas is only 3 1/2 weeks away.
