You didn't write how much you want to spend, but the Concorde is quite decent (rooms for RM 160). There are also other good hotels in KL, but this one is ok. Centrally located and with everything you need. I stayed in both the Concorde (February) and Swiss Garden ( March) earlier this year. The pool at the SG is tiny compared with the Concorde. But both hotels have fitness suites. We had one of the older rooms in the Concorde- wasn't very impressed.Very tatty and could hear TV from next room. The newer rooms MUST surely be better. They also forgot our early morning alarm call I had booked. Luckily I heard my watch alarm . The SG was however superb - I had booked one of their special 2 night packages- very good value. In fact I've already booked again for next March. Jan --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). How much is the SG ? Just checked my CC statement Rm 415 with tax 2 people 2 nights. Swiss Privilege package: whlch included Limo fransfer to airport. Free Laundry, Local phone calls. Cocktails and Canapes.Fruit basket & Cakes. Private dining room and lounge for privilege guests. They've quoted a bit less for next year at Rm 396 with tax I believe we paid just under Rm300 at the Concorde. It was worth the extra just to go home with clean clothes !!! I booked it through www.asia-hotels.com Jan --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Centrally located to what? Markets? Indian area? ChinaTown? CBD? If you want nice then try the Sheraton Imperial. I've stayed there a few times. Nice view of the TT. Don |

Don, I'm staying in the Sheraton Imperial next April. It is a classy place. If you are interested I have taken a few pics of the interior ... http://digiscan.members.easyspace.co...ia%20hotel.htm Any tips for places to eat, things to see in the immediate area? Not much in the immediate area (that I know of). Although it's pretty easy to get around, either via cab or rail. If you want a nice view and flashy then go to the revolving place atop the KL Comms Tower. It's one of those "must do once" things. Otherwise I stick to the more authentic (aka cheap) places. For example if you go past say an Indian place and there are lots of Indians eating there then I consider that a good recommendation. The night markets at Petaling st are a must. Just be prepared to be constantly badgered to buy. You can ususally get a reasonable bargain though. Watching them set up the markets is amazing in itself. Be there at about 4-4:30pm and watch the street transformed. Amazing. The Twin Towers skybridge is worth it, although you don't get too long up there and it costs. The KL Tower is free and you can stay up as long as you like. Cheers Don |

The Petronas Towers Skybridge is free but they only let you stay a few minutes. KL Tower requires a paid ticket but you can stay as long as you please. miguel -- See the world from your web browser: http://travel.u.nu/ |
