?Cancun- Where is the best snorkeling?
Where is the best snorkeling in Cancun- is it through a tour or can we find
it ourselves? Would there be a place outside of Cancun worth traveling to snorkel there? Thanks |

?Cancun- Where is the best snorkeling?
The best places to snorkel in Cancun are Punta Nizuc and Isla Mujeres, in my
opinion. Punta Nizuc is on the southern end and as you're travelling from the airport to the Hotel Zone, you will come across the Punta Nizuc bridge. There is a parking lot right before the bridge and from there, you can follow a trail to this little cove where there is a very good, inexpensive seafood restaurant frequented by locals. In this area, there are local boat operators who will offer to take you out snorkeling for a price which is negotiable. The real good snorkel sites are a bit too far to swim. The second place is Isla Mujeres, and to get there you need to take a ferry. The ferry leaves from several locations like Punta Juarez and Punta Sam. Ask around when you there as to the location of the nearest ferry to Isla. "Dan Maslowski" wrote in message ...
