Default Cocaine Seized on Noordam

Spoken like a true bureaucrat, Karen. ...Of course I'm referring to
those that scorn the use of illegal drugs, yet all the while they
consider the use (and abuse) of alcohol to be quite OK ....because,
after all ...It is "legal". Hmm... broken homes, wife beating, drunk
driving. etc. etc. etc. ....Seems to me, pedophilia was legal in
ancient Greece. ...Doesn't make it's practice morally right, though.

You misinterpreted my posting my well breasted dear. ....All I'm
pointing out here is the double standard. ...Many are against the drugs
in question, simply because they are "illegal". ....However, just
because alcohol "currently" enjoys the status of being freely, and
legally distributed, doesn't alter the fact that it is indeed a
"potentially" dangerous drug. ....If you are unable to see the
heartbreak and destruction that alcohol has caused to individuals and
families over the years, then you are truly the one who hasn't a clue.

Hi Johnny,

Those who know me, know that I don't drink alcoholic beverages on a
regular basis. I never liked the taste of hard liquor and wine doesn't
give me a thrill either. The occasional frozen Margarita while on a
cruise or very good champagne on a special occasion is about all for me.

As for drugs, what I said at the begining of the thread still holds. I
can't understand drug use and never will.

Joyce -- Don't paint others with a brush if you don't know their color
choices.

Hi Joyce... I think you meant to say: I can't understand the abuse of
drugs. ...Not all potent drugs are bad. Right now..I've got some
morphine tablets sitting on my bed table. Easily abused, no doubt, but a
God-send if you have the odd kidney stone come down like I do. ...I
think you're forgetting one simple fact of life that can happen when one
experiments with some particular substances: Addiction.
...The fact that one may be currently classed as illegal, and the other
not, is irrelevant. ...I knew a store keeper once who had to remove all
the vanilla extract from his shelves, simply because his wife was an
alcoholic. ...Not sure if he applied the same logic to his aqua velva,
but I'm sure he did.
...Joyce, there is no need to justify your drinking habits to anyone
here. ...Perhaps you are fortunate in the sense that the odd margarita
has no effect on you. I had a fellow worker who was not so lucky...If he
so much as took a sip from a bottle -- he subsequently couldn't stop
sipping until the bottle was empty. ...And, ironically, he also didn't
particularly care for the taste of the booze either. ...Jon
