Flying AF to Paris in the Fall. Opinions you have on flights with
them? Gotta be better than on US airlines these days. Hopefully,
anyway.

Thanks.

Economy class is economy class is economy class - not much difference
between airlines, IMHO. That being said, I flew AF IAH-CDG-IAH last year in
steerage and it wasn't bad. Food okay, no charge for drinks; room - tight
but liveable, on time, clean airplane, pleasant crew.

Have a look at http://www.airlinequality.com/Airlines/AirlineA-Z.htm
They rank Air France overall as a 4 star airline, but see passenger
comments.

AF is to be avoided, like most European airlines. Free booze, but
seat pitch in economy is painfully tight and typically European (i.e.,
****ty) service all the way from check-in to arrival. Certainly not
better than US airlines.

Business class is mediocre. First class is pretty good.

Much better than the crappy US Airways and the such !!:
You don't pay 5 $ for a drink and you get bread with your meal.
Service is also better, stewardesses don't think they are substitutes for
the FBI.

I think the word 'stewardess' conveys something about the charm and
elegance of those who dispense in-flight service. And their
attitude. After a long flight with them in economy, my main criticism
was that towards the end of the journey the champagne had got a little
warm.
