Sleeping well on 11 hr flight in cramped coach class
I'm going to be making an 11 hour flight, in cramped coach class and
I'm about 5ft 10inches. The goal is to arrive at the destination at 5:30 AM, and being able to work all day afterwards. I have the mask and earplugs (and ear-planes) and noise reduction headphones... (I've used all of them before...and have Dramamine, just in case). The next issue seems to be comfort for sleeping. (Am I missing anything else?) Some things sound like 'miracles' when you read about them -- but I wonder if they actually work (or are two bulky to carry into the plane etc): http://www.magellans.com/store/Gift_...chan=Ar ticle Any recommendations? |

Sleeping well on 11 hr flight in cramped coach class
Thanks... but unfortunately, due to flight timing issues, I got stuck
on an airline on which I don't have miles... and is known to be cramped :-( On Mar 5, 9:34 pm, "Blake S" wrote: wrote in message Use your miles to upgrade to business class. You will sleep much better. |

Yup. If I had to work after a long flight, I would simply leave a day earlier and allow time for some rest before the first day of work after a long flight. Everyone is different, but I can't imagine getting any sound sleep with the gadget you pointed out. |

It's worked for me, and I'm just two inches shorter than you. A glass of red wine is better still. |

Great if you're stuck in a seat far from an aisle. jrk |

My strategy for sleeping on long economy class flights is to assuime that I won't get any sleep and to plan accordingly. The combination of noise and sitting upright means I rarely do sleep even overnight - it always bugs me to see the 90% of the plane that does seem so be sound asleep! |
