You think Magda is bad, you should see Marie's posts.

Thanks Tim --- the person probably can not read plain English.

No, he asked which country *you* would choose, not which country you would
suggest *he* chooses.

I suppose.

Amusing is one thing --- but nastiness is another! lol

I (among others, mostly whom Marie thinks are men from the south of
England) have the honour of being committed to Marie's killfile twice
already. I don't know how I managed to escape it the first time.

If you wanted to move from the USA to Europe, which top three

1. Finland
2. Netherlands
3. Sweden or France

Actually this should be:

1. Helsinki
2. Amsterdam
3. Stockholm/Paris

(I don't care much for small-town, suburban or rural living anywhere in
the world.)

I appreciate your input!

Austria (where I am right now): cold crisp winters and warm enough summers.
Good roads for motorbike riding. Licensing hours are good. Beer and eating
out are relatively cheap but seem less so since the Euro was introduced. I
have a job here (very important).

Norway: The people I met there on one short visit were so impressive. The
coast and countryside generally is beautiful. I'm sure I could cope with
the language eventually. But drinks are expensive.

South-west England or Wales: Decent (non-lager) beer. Near the sea. Can
understand the language already. Great costlines and countryside.

also rans: Southern France (outside the jetset towns on the coast anywhere
will do) or Northern Italy (somewhere around the Dolomites for similar
reasons to Austria or Tuscany for a bit more warmth), and perhaps if I were
retired, somewhere like the Croatian coast or islands.

Well I am pretty certain that the first time I have an "encounter"
with her she will probably do the same to me!
