Independence air gets first A319 flights Nov 3

Independence Air's first Airbus bound for Florida

Direct Airbus A319 flights between Dulles, Orlando and Tampa begin
Nov. 3 with one-way fares beginning at $64

Low-fare airline Independence Air announced today it will introduce
new non-stop service from Washington Dulles International Airport to
Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tampa International Airport
(TPA) beginning Nov. 3, 2004.

Independence Air will fly three daily round-trip flights to Orlando
and Tampa, with 7-day advance purchase Internet sale fares from both
cities as low as $64 one way for tickets purchased at FLYi.com by
Sept. 27 for travel completed by Jan. 31, 2005.

My question is why they are deploying their first A319 on that route,
when they've been using CRJs for all their other routes. Specifically,
does that route need the extra capacity, or is this a temporary thing
before they move the A319s to long-hauls to/from the west to IAD?
