when I was in Oman, Muscat ppl used to goto india to buy gold there
sometimes cause it was cheaper. If you were stopping for a few days
in muscat it might be different cause you can get them made into
different designs very cheaply, but obivously that advantage you won't
have at the airport. I will ask my friend if she knows about how oman
is now cause her parents are going back tomorrow and she goes back and
forth quite a lot. (I haven't been to oman for nearly 5 years now and
it has change quite a bit since I last visited.
