I've already posted the proof, MsTravel - either you missed it or you're stupid. I posted proof that the US used AO in Vietnam between 1961 and 1971. I posted proof that (many of) the side effects of AO were known in the 1940s/50s. You provided a Wikipedia article. ANYONE can edit a Wikipedia article. |

Sarah, old ****-witted one, what you've quoted is a discussion relating to F14s being operated from other than their home airfield. Ken-scum has stupidly tried to argue logically, which he obviously isn't capable of doing. F14s can't fly off dirt runways? Agreed. I disagree. |

In that case, isn't it odd that I cited a web-site that claimed that the effects were known at the time? You cited Wikipedia. I could cite the Weekly World News and claim you are from outer space. |

Anything is _possible_. However, as I understand the situation, and I claim no deep knowledge of the specifics of F14s, they tend to ingest dust, sand and rubble from unpaved runways when operated from same. |

That's correct greg. FOD walkdowns are routine on military airfields and especially on aircraft carriers to ensure that the aircraft don't ingest any Foreign Object Debris. |
