Default Wyndham El Conquistador Resort: activity suggestions?

Hi, I'm a college student going to Wyndham El Conquistador Resort with
my parents for a week in the summertime. I would like to know what
sort of activities there are there for kids my age. It's the first
time travelling without my older brother, so I just want to know what
I'm getting into.

Are there activities we can do as a family, or that I can do with a
group of kids more my age?

How about outside the resort - anything fun/interesting/historical
that you'd suggest in the nearby area?

I know they have the Golden Door Spa, but it would be pricey to spend
the whole week in the spa!

I can't seem to get any information from this resort town, other than
there's "lots to do!"

thanks in advance for your suggestions/advice,
Laura

Howdy Laura:

I have gone to this resort for the past couple of years with the
family and it is a great time. Normally we spend half the trip at my
grandmother's house, she lives in Puerto Rico, and the other half at
this resort. If you are parsimonius like myself you can half a great
time. The little beach is great and FREE. If you like to gamble its
got a great casino and as far as I can tell there are a few students
our age, I am a freshman in college. Due the expensive nature of the
resort it lends itself to older customers but at night the pool area
seemed to be the "hangout". I hope this has given you hope on your
vaction. I am going in March so unfortunatly we miss each other.
Anyways have no worries its a fun place.

Mike
