Salt Lake City Airport to Provo
I need to get from Salt Lake City Airport to Provo, and I don't drive. The
Greyhound timings are inconvenient and I can't locate anything on the UTA Website, so I guess it's a cab. (This is a business trip so I'm not too worried about expense.) Will I be able to get a cab from the line at the airport to go this distance, or should I book in advance? Or are there any other public-transport options I'm overlooking? TIA |

As a matter of interest, how much do you think I should tip the driver, given that I don't know what the fare is (it's prepaid by my hosts)? I don't normally fret overmuch about tipping etiquette but this is a new situation for me! |

If its one of those fancy limos, not your average airport shuttle service, then I guess maybe $15 ought to do it. |

Then the TRAX light rail system (701: North-South line) from either downtown (Temple Square station) or Meadowbrook station to the last stop at Sandy Civic Center station. Finally, bus route 811 from Sandy Civic Center light rail station to Provo. Approximate schedules for weekday travel are as follows. Bus route 50 Operates every 30 minutes; travel time is 21 minutes from airport to downtown SLC (Temple Square light rail station) Bus route 56 Operates every 45 minutes; travel time is 32 minutes from airport to Meadowbrook light rail station TRAX light rail route 701 Operates every 15 minutes; travel time is 37 minutes from Temple Square station to Sandy Civic Center station, or 18 minutes from Meadowbrook station to Sandy Civic Center station. Bus route 811 Operates every 60 minutes; travel time is 66 minutes from Sandy Civic Center light rail station to Provo. Note that additional routes may also operate during rush hours, but these are the full time routes available. For completeness, the Greyhound Lines schedules effective 15 August 2006 are as follows. Salt Lake City 0830 1800 2230 Provo 0925 1855 2325 The first two buses operate from SLC to Las Vegas; the last bus operates from SLC to Albuquerque. wrote: I need to get from Salt Lake City Airport to Provo, and I don't drive.
