Default AA Road Atlas NZ question

Hi, I'm making a driving tour of NZ in March. I want to buy a road
atlas in advance to familiarize myself. I gather the AA road atlas is
the best, but I have found two.

I found this one at AA's site:

http://www.aatravel.co.nz/main/listi...istingId=40551

....where is lists 1cm:6cm scale

However, at amazon.com I see this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ima...image_text_0/0
02-5911400-2670448?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=283155&s=books

....which not only has a different picture, but that picture of the
cover says 1cm:3cm (better) and "Lord of the Rings film locations
shown".

Can anyone out there explain this difference? I'd prefer to buy from
AA knowing that they're the source of it all and it won't be
out-of-date or whatever, but the one at amazon looks better in scale
and citations of LOTR sites (which I am interesting in looking into).
I suspect the latter is the British AA but I'm not 100% sure, or 100%
sure if that matters.

Thanks in advance, pleast post.

Dan,

I don't know about the AA atlas from Amazon.com but when we were in NZ
in 2004, I saw the AA road atlas in one of their offices and wasn't that
impressed. Instead of the AA road atlas, I bought and liked the Kiwi
Pathfinder "New Zealand Travellers Road Atlas." I thought it was
superior to the AA road atlas. You can buy it in most book stores in
NZ. If you want to see detailed maps online before your trip, go to
http://www.wises.co.nz.
