Carnival Pride Aft Balcony Question
Thanks for all of the info. We've sailed on the Spirit, which has the
same basic layout, but had a side balcony. Didn't know what to expect on the "back end". Maybe I'll bring a kite or fishing pole (vbg). Jim (Bill Warnock) wrote in message . com... Jim... During Christmas on the Pride... I had a Cat. 11... the very last one on the port aft side... consequently I can't comment on the residue from the stacks or whatever. There was some minor vibrations that I didn't experience when I had a midship booking with her a couple months before. Heading home we hit some pretty rough seas which were felt being located in the aft area... which was understandable... considering my cabin location. I had a cabin/balcony on the stern of the Star Princess and enjoyed the change of scenery "riding on the rear". Also... so far I am very impressed with the Pride and its crew. I think you will enjoy this vessel. Best regards Bill |

Carnival Pride Aft Balcony Question
Jim, I am very interested in your findings about the aft balcony question on
the Pride. My wife Judy and I are also booked into cabin 6262, (small world) on May 16. Would very much appreciate if you email me after your cruise and let me know if there are any issues. thanks Yes, we're also interested in any info from previous aft balcony cruisers since my husband & I are booked in # 6262 on the Pride March 23rd. My concern is possible noise from the suite balcony next to us, especially if it's a large family. Have any others had problems with "the neighbors?" On the Elation we had a back facing outside cabin. I'd sit inside the window sill and watch that blue-green wake churn below. It was a wonderful sight, felt like we were leaving the world behind. Bliss, pure bliss. Looking forward to our first aft balcony. :-) |

We didn't have a problem with soot, but on several mornings there were many cigarette butts from people throwing them overboard and not reaching their destination. We probably will not book a stern balcony again but only because we prefer more privacy. The dividers between stern balconies are slanted, allowing neighbors to see your balcony. Side balconies provide more privacy. |
