Default Great Barrier Reef Weather in March?

Does anyone know the typical weather for this corner of Australia in the month
of march? Does it rain often?
Thanks

In a nutshell, yes. It's a tropical climate with the wet period between
about December to April. Cyclones (hurricanes) can also develop during this
period, bringing flooding to the coastline. Over the last two or three
years, there hasn't been a lot of such activity in the area, but Australia
has been in drought.

See www.weatherbase.com for climate statistics worldwide.
