Yangon- Sittwe- Mrauk U- Yangon- Bagan- Mandalay- Shan State- Yangon-Bago
Tour Code GP-06 : 11 Day / 10 Night
Yangon- Sittwe- Mrauk U- Yangon- Bagan- Mandalay- Shan State- Yangon-Bago Program Details Day 1 : Yangon ( Arrival ) Pick up at Yangon airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Yangon. Day 2 : Yangon-Sittwe-Mrauk U ( Flight / Boat ) Morning flight to Sittwe , the capital of Rakhine State. Transfer to the jetty to take half day river trip (about 5 hours) to Mrauk U, the former capital of Rakine Kingdom ( AD 1430 - 1784 ). Lunch on boat with river view. Overnight in Mrauk U. Day 4 : Mrauk U After breakfast sightseeing of Mrauk U includes visit to the massive ****taungpaya ( a curious and remarkable temple with countless Buddha images and relieves ), the fortress-like temple Htukkan-Thein ( noted for the interesting stone sculptures in the vaulted passages ), an octagonal temple Andawthein with its unique stone carvings and floral design , Sakya-man-aung ( a tall attenuated stupa ) and archaeologial museum. Overnight in Myauk U. Day 4 : Chin Tattoo Tribe Village After bfeakfast, drive to Chin area about one hour by car and then, sail to Chin Village by boat. Upon arrival, visit Cho May Chin Village. After lunch proceed to another Chin Village and then going back to Mrauk U. Overnight in Mrauk U. Day 5 : Mrauk U – Sittwe -Yangon ( Boat/Flight ) Early morning return to Sittwe. Breakfast on boat. Upon arrive at Sittwe, about one hour sightseeing in Sittwe. After lunch, transfer to the airport for a flight to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon. Day 6 : Yangon-Bagan ( Flight ) Morning flight to Bagan. Highlights of Bagan include Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetgyi-inn Gubyaukkyi Temple ( famous for its fine mural paintings of jataka scenes ), Htilominlo Temple, Ananda Temple ( an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross ), Dhammayangyi ( a massive temple with finest brick works ), Lacquer ware industries, Thatbyinnyu Temple ( the highest temple in Bangan ). Overnight in Bagan. Day 7 : Bagan-Mandalay ( Flight ) Morning flight to Mandalay. Visit Shwemawdaw Monastery ( noted for its exquisite wood carvings ), Kuthodaw Pagoda ( famous for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures ), Kyauktawgyi Pagoda ( large images curved out of single blocks of marble ), Mandalay Hill, Mandalay Palace, Mahamuni Pagoda and Traditional Handicraft Workshops. Day 8 : Mandalay-Heho-Pindaya-Kalaw ( Flight / Car ) Morning flight to Heho. Upon arrival transfer to visit Pindaya caves ( well known for its countless Buddha images ). Enjoy the scenic beauty of Shan hills. After lunch proceed to Kalaw ( a beautiful pine-clad hill station ). Evening walk in Kalaw. Overnight in Kalaw. Day 9 : Kalaw-Inle Lake ( Car / Boat ) Morning transfer to Nyaung Shwe by car and sightseeing in Inle Lake by boat. Highlights include Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the leg-rowers, weaving village of Inpawgone, wonderful floating gardens, floating markets, village life and their way of fishing. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe. Day 10 : Inle-Heho-Yangon-Bago-Yangon ( Flight / Car ) Morning transfer to Heho for the flight to Yangon. After lunch excursion to the ancient Mon capital Bago located 80km north east of Yangon. Visit Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Shwethalyaung, Kalyani Sima ( Ordination Hall ), Kyaikpun ( four high and huge Buddha images ). Overnight in Yangon Day 11 : Yangon ( Departure ) Half day sightseeing includes Shwedagon Pagoda, National Museum, Botataung Pagoda and Bogyoke Aung San Market. After lunch transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
