2 adults and 2 children in Fasthotel, Etap, Formule 1, Premiere Classe ?
Hi,
We're planning a trip to France and I found this budget hotels on the Web... The only problem is that we're 2 adults and 2 small children (3 and 6 years old) but all the hotels prices are for 1, 2 or 3 people. In some hotels, they say "2 children (less than 12 y/o) can stay in the same room with the parent"... So, is it possible or not to get a 4th children in the same room ? Thanks. Christian. |

These are very elementary hotels. The rooms are very small to begin with and you might want to reconsider your plans. I doubt very much the rooms are as big as your 'standard' American motel room. In my experience (Ibis, Campanile) you have to up to say a Novotel to get a reasonable sized room... Bernard Higonnet |

Formule 1 are VERY basic (no en suite bathroom ) and have one double and one bunk but that bunk is above the parents bed and you may be unhappy having a 3 year old up there http://www.hotelformule1.com/formule...tre/index.html ETAP are much the same layout but at least you have a bathroom Keith ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

From my (admittedly limited) experience, French hotel rooms tend to be on the small side. In the U.S., you can generally (for an additional charge) move in a cot or two for the children, but I'm not sure where you could FIT them, in most of the hotel rooms I've had in Paris! They were perfectly adequate for my needs, and could probably have accommodated two people, but two people plus children, no. |

We have stayed in an Etap with 2 adults and 2 kids aged 5 and 9 at the
time, also in another similar hotel, but I've forgotten which one. In the Etap I believe we had a double bed with an upper single bunk. We put the 9 year old upstairs and the other three of us shared the bottom. Tight fit. No extra cots are available, nor any extra linens, including pillows. At the other place I think we had just a double bed and in that case the 9 year old slept on the floor. They are tight accommodations. Worked for us as a short stop while traveling, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend several nights there. Chris |
