Bombardier Q400 Aircraft UNSAFE - Too Many Crashes
Ceri Thomas wrote:
profit in the last third quarter report. Bombardier Group Aerospace Division is the third largest aircraft builder on Earth I am not sure that the 3rd spot still belongs to Bombardier. With their CRJ division faltering, I wouldn't be surprised to see Embraer take that spot. and Boeing Aerospace LLC. The aircraft is in fact a DeHaviland Dash 8 Designed by Boeing Canada from Winnipeg when they owned DeHaviland in the Mid 70's to early 80's. Wrong. Boeing only owned DeHaviland for a couple of years and didn't do much during that time. The Q series aircraft were developped well afted Bombardier bought DeHaviland from Boeing. Prior to Boeing owning DeHaviland, the later was onwed by the canadian government (as was Canadair). In fact, Bombardier had intentions of totally dropping the "Dash-8" name and the aircraft were initially named Q400, Q300 etc. "Dash-8" has returned recently due to Bombardier finally recognising that the "Dash-8" brand was well known and it had been stupid for it to try to drop it. In terms of the most recent accident, the europeans have already announced that the last one was different from previous ones. The previous ones were the gear failing upon landing. This past one was failure to completely deploy. Still, one expects reliable landing gear on any aircraft. |
