Hotel booking sites for Belgium
On a car trip I need a single nights stay somewhere in Belgium. The time
schedule is very relaxed, so I'm extremely flexible as to where in Belgium - from the German border in the east to Gent in the west, and as far south as Charleroi. This being a Saturday, I'm thinking it should be possible to to get a good deal at a out-of-town business oriented hotel. Ideally with a small old town nearby. But so far I haven't really found anything. What is a good site to do this search on? |

Actually, the hotel rooms have been a bit neglected and look a bit tired, but that's because they have been concentrating on the "bar area" of the hotel. In fact, what just used to be a standard-sized hotel bar has now become a fully-fledged pub in it's own right, with over 300 different beers, more than 50 Jenevers (gin-based drinks) and various other stuff - it's brilliant. http://www.hotelmarion.be/ Pete |

I compared Virtual Tourist coverage of York with Trip Advisor. The big difference is that Trip Advisor hotels have lots of highly critical reviews where as Virtual Tourist has none. -- Martin I just compared them myself and found the same kind of thing. Also, the map on the VT isn't much use in so far as, at least as far as I could see, the locations are not pinpointed. Some venues have a rating, but no reviews or explanation as to how such grades were arrived at and the things to do look a bit set-up |
