He's retired, you know. That expression was the one that YOUR mother used to
use on you, when she noticed that musty smell in your bedroom, back in your
teen days, eh?

In his case, it's forced retirement. He's unemployable.

Besides, lots of retired people find constructive things to do with
their time. Grosvenor isn't one of them.
