The europe maps for my system cost more than the system.

There is at least one Tom Tom in the 900 series which comes with full maps
for
North America and Europe installed.

For walking and local driving, I've got a cheap Lowrance i250 that I love,
because it gives me eight hours of use on a charge.

Right now TomTom tries to promote the sales of it's maps by low prices: both
the US-Canada and Western Europe goes by 49.95 euros each set. The Eastern
European maps cost 39.95 euros.
