What to see and do in Las Vegas
Besides wandering the Strip to see the sights, are there any other
must sees or places to go. You definitely should see Cirque Du Soleil - they are amazing. And I highly recommend seeing the Blue Man Group - it is offbeat heady performance art that will make you laugh like you did at 15. Well worth it. |

What to see and do in Las Vegas
I liked staying at both Orleans off strip and Fitzgeralds downtown. For
entertainment, I liked Lance Burton's magic show and the freebie Bellagio Fountains. I like walking around the Paris hotel complex and NYNY. We also enjoy visting Red Rock Canyon when we're there. |

What to see and do in Las Vegas
"Aussie Glenn" wrote in message ... I'm an Aussie going with my wife to the US for the first time in August and will be staying 5 nights in Vegas As our money doesn't convert into many US dollars, I'm looking for value places to stay, where to eat and places to see. I'm thinking of staying in either Mandalay Bay or the Luxor at the south end of the Strip or Treasure Island, mid strip. Does anyone have any other suggestions? TI is definitely a better location if you plan on walking. MB & Luxor are a LONG way from anywhere. I just got back from 4 days at Paris, and I really enjoyed it. The internet rate from the Paris web site was $99. I did pay extra for a *guaranteed* strip view ($139), but I talked to a couple of folks who were there at the same time who only paid the $99 and still got the strip view. I was on the 27th floor with a view of the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio fountains. Regarding food, I've heard that most places have buffets, but some are better than others. Any recommendations for these or other places to eat. Although I haven't eaten there, I hear the Alladin buffet is very good; lunch is cheaper than dinner by far. I simply can't eat enough to make the buffet prices worthwhile. I took the bus ($2) downtown to Fremont Street, and had the Golden Nugget buffet for lunch, which was very good and considerably cheaper than any of the buffets on the strip ($7.99 I think). |

I've had the Golden Nugget's buffet for lunch it was very good. So was
the Orleans and the Station Casinos buffet (I had the one at Sunset Station in Henderson). I also hear the one at the Palms is great and affordable as well. Of course weekdays and breakfast/ lunch would be the better bargain. |

Our favorite buffet is the Seafood Buffet at the Rio. There are two
different buffets. Make sure you go to the SEAFOOD buffet. Check on the hours, as it isn't a nonstop buffet. If you want to get away from the glitz for awhile, go to Hoover Dam and take the tour. Truly awesome. Be sure and watch the movie that goes with it. Makes you appreciate all the work that went into it all the more. Jane |

Try the MGM and the Tropicana. Older, very well kept up hotels. Of course
old in LV is anything over a year. Cheapest casino eating is probably Circus-Circus. Also one of the worst places to eat in North America. The free attractions are great. The pirates at TI, etc. Take a walk through the Ceasars shopping mall. Cearsar statue speaks, and the ceiling changes. "Jamie" wrote in message news:XhbBf.2693$jO3.1251@trnddc07...
