Madrid to Pamplona in July?
Bus, train or rental car is best for 2 travelling together?
The Spanish rail site does not show current schedules. It stops on June 11. Why is that? |

" Bus, train or rental car is best for 2 travelling together? The Spanish rail site does not show current schedules. It stops on June 11. Why is that? Try the German rail website. http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en I even use it for british trains as it is usually more uptodate and has more detailed information. |

It is now every bit as good as the German one (for UK trains) and the German one is most definately not more up to date as it never includes the weekend engineering changes (quite why the UK has weekend engineering changes that aren't scheduled at the start of the timetable period is another matter) and has more detailed information. try obtaining a route for "with bicycle" and you'll see that this isn't correct. Finally, FWIT the actual route calculation engine is the same it's just the database and the GUI that different. tim |

Good WAP access too- on your mobile, you can find things like departures and arrivals from the stations close to where you (and your mobile!) are. I obviously use the German website for European enquiries, but another very useful thing is their WAP site. http://mobile.bahn.de English option there too, and live information for German trains, and timetables for Europe. I found this indispensable on a recent trip to Berlin- found out I'd missed my train to the airport, so took a cab instead! -- David Horne- www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk |

Spanish rail site does not show current schedules. It stops on June 11. Why is that? If you are talking running of the bulls you need to think far beyond what the Spanish rail site shows, and start digging into google-group archives and dedicated websites about how to experience/survive the event with any measure of access, comfort, safety, sleep, medical care and/or survival. |
