The late 50s. probs were more involved with Yemen/Oman/Saudi border &
infiltration problems in the desert Sultanates areas, east of Aden
Town to the Oman border.

Aden finished his army career.

It weren't 'alf 'ot Mum!
I was voluntary, prior to a possible RAF career that I then didn't take
up.
I think, anyway, that NS had stopped by about 1959/60?

Due to deferments and so on they actually stopped in 1962.
