Any advice about Seattle at the end of November?
Is it difficult to drive from Seattle to Port Townsend using ferrys? Or ... what is the best route to get there? Thank you Federica |

I was going to suggest that you avoid having sex with redheads, but that relates to totally different post, and is not be your issue anyway. :-) Is it difficult to drive from Seattle to Port Townsend using ferrys? Or ... what is the best route to get there? No, not difficult at all. The ferry that I took was between Edmonds (just North or Seattle) and Kingston (just South of Port Townsend via Rt.104). Crossings are frequent enuff that wait-times are low. There are plenty of alternatives. For fares, maps and schedules, see http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/, the official Washington State ferry website. It can also give you directions and maps to the terminals. [R] |

Drive straight off the ferry, off the island and through Poulsbo, then take 3 north to Hood Canal Bridge. Left across the bridge (watch out for submarines) and you are on 104. Then right to Hwy 19 and on to Port Townsend. It will take you about 45 minutes to get to Port Townsend from Kingston, and something like an hour to get there from Bainbridge. |
