Help from locals or regular visitors to Chicago needed
Among my wide range of interest, those that I indulge regularly
include: mechanical puzzles, modular origami, amateur astronomy and model engineering, I'm also a geodesic dome and polyhedra enthusiast. I'm planning a visit to Chicago next summer and places like the Science and Industry museum or the Adler Planetarium are already in my list. But these are popular major tourist attractions, I would like to visit also some less known places like specialty stores, ehibits, small obscure museums, etc. related to the interests mentioned above. Any special recommendation you can make? Your comments and advice will be appreciated. Artie |

I second the Fermilab recommendation. I'd also suggest
Northwestern University's Dearborn Observatory in Evanston: http://www.astro.northwestern.edu/observatory.php American Science and Surplus in Chicago or Skokie: http://www.sciplus.com/ Maybe Argonne National Lab, but it's also out in DuPage County: http://www.anl.gov/ My $.02. YMMV. -Lynne In article , Keith Willshaw wrote: wrote in message ...
