Default Paris Vacation Tips

What is it about Paris?

Is it the blend of romance and inspiration? Is it the great activities
the city has to offer? Or is it simply the great food and fine wines?

I dont think I'll ever get to the bottom of that one...

So your off to Paris and looking for those last minute pointers that
make all the difference.

Okay, well for starters its important to make a list of everything
you'd like to see when your there. This way you wont be sat on the
plane ride home, wondering what the Arc de Triomphe looks like!

Oh yeah, dont make the mistake I made. Dont go to Paris without making
hotel reservations (depending on what time of year it is).

The first time I went I stupidly didn't have hotel reservations and
ended up paying 430 euros for my first night. And thats not even the
half of it I then spent my first ever day in Paris hunting for a new
hotel which again was expencive. To be fair the hotel was nice, but it
really cut into my Champs Ellysees spending money.

Oh yeah you might want to add that to your list. The Champ Ellysees is
where you'll find all the designer shops and great resteraunts.

You'll probabily want to check out the Louvre museum too. Did I spell
that right?

Anyway yeah that about ties it up from me. If your interested you may
want to check out this site. Its where I've always made my hotel
reservations sinse my first bad experience.

This is especially true if you are going to the French Open.
Rolland Garros is conveniently located right off one of the
freeways in Paris. With is location close to one of the
freeways, it cannot get any EASIER, than to have an
automobile to get to Rolland Garros.Besides, there is
NO public transport to that part of Paris.

According to the link posted by someone else, 8 bus lines and 2 Metro
lines are in the area.

Why not take one of those?

One other Grand Slam tennis tourney where you HAVE to drive, to
get to the tennis courts is Wimbledon. To get to the All-England
club from cental London, you HAVE to DRIVE there, because
public transport does NOT go to that part of the London area.
Unless you can score a room at any of the nearby B&Bs,
a rental car is a MUST to get to the All-England club.

Are you insane?

People who work in central London and live in Wimbledon go to work on a
train system that runs a large passenger train into the centre about every
ten minutes...

There's nowhere to park in Wimbledon either.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.

No, that's not true, you braindead moron. In almost all of
Paris, a car is a liability.

This is especially true if you are going to the French Open.

No it isn't, you dimwitted fjukktard.

Wrong again, you delusional halfwit, but then, you've never
actually been to Paris, have you?

As http://french.open-tennis.com/travel.php points out:

Like destinations in most major cities, the easiest way to get to
the French Open is by public transport. However, Roland Garros is
well served by all modes of transport, both public and private.

Not true. There are shuttles from the Southfields and Wimbledon stations.

No problem there, if they put a "boot", as I believe you are referring
to, on the car, those are usually secured by a padlock.

Actually, you pig-felching knuckle-dragging idiot, they aren't. But
you've never been anywhere, so how would you know?

One can
just get a pair of bolt cutters and cut that padlock off and remove
the "boot", throw it in the nearest rubbish-bin, and then just
drive away, and that wold be the END of it.

I'd love to be there when you get caught doing something that stupid.
No matter how bad the punishment, it would be better than a brain-dead
loon like you deserves.

Guys,

Can't you recognize a troll? Chilly8 is a classical example of one.
Don't feed a troll, don't clutter the group, please!
