Just thought I tell everyone that I received notes from them Both
that they are in Norway and having a nice time although it is rainy.
and that the Crown Princess just does not take sailing smoothly as
well as many other ships.
It is Daylight all the time. He said the Food is just ok and the Fish
is not good. All the food is brought in from the USA so fish comes in
frozen.

But the Old Chaps are doing well in the land of the VIkings!

Hi Sue of all the new ships we have been on .The Crown is the most
unstable !! In other words she moves alot .I think the Oasis will be
a more stable ship when we go on her .But if truth be known the newer
ships are so top havery .They don"t sit in the water that deep .They
are more or less flat bottom boats !! We didn"t find the food on the
Crown Princess to be all that good either .Tell Tom & Charles i said
hi .

Default Mega-Ship Stability

It appears that the new Mega-ships are really
hotels built upon barges. Relatively shallow
draft, large superstructure, lots of "sail."

As such, unless they are underway and have their
stabilizer systems operating they are going to
rock and roll a great deal.

The higher up you are, the more you will notice
it; makes the "cheap seats" seem attractive.

I really wonder what will happen when one of these
ships is unable to get out of the way of a serious
storm.

Cheers,

Tom has whined about that aspect of grand class ships many, many
times.

You've got to wonder why he keeps booking them...

I had trouble understanding this post. Does he mean that the Crown
does not sail well when the seas are smooth?

or that it does not sail smoothly? Honest question, honestly

Shelly Winters' character drowns again.

Actually, from what I've seen, the Oasis will be drawing about 6 feet
more than the Freedom class. It will also be using dynamic ballastig.

Well, I guess you won't see any of them fishing for king crab in the
Bering Sea in Winter. Sometimes for somethings littler boats are
better! (see Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel).

I'm gay, and I don't whine. I don't think it's a gay thing at all. It
very well may be a Charles thing. But it's impolite to talk about folks
who are users or RTC. Charles, what say you? Gay? Whiner?
Misunderstood? Or, just got up on the wrong side of the bed and cranky
as hell?

I am not gay but sometimes I might whine about something.

However I never said anything about how smooth the Crown Princess sailed
so I don't
know what the hell you and the troll you are replying to are talking
about. Why did you bring up my name?

this thread started with Susette and she reported:

It was to the comment about smooth sailing that I was refering.
