Default Honeymoon in New England

My fiancé and I are being wed the second week of October, which I hear
is the perfect time to visit New England. Can anyone suggest
excellent yet reasonably priced Bed & Breakfasts in New England? Our
airline tickets (a wedding gift) will take us to Providence, Hartford
or Manchester. I thought perhaps Manchester to visit the White
Mountains, but I'd love to hear other suggestions.

Regarding the style of Bed & Breakfast, we're definitely on a budget,
and we also prefer the kind of "rustic" style places to the big, fancy
schmancy places. But we're open. If you've fallen in love with (or
at!) a Bed & Breakfast in New England, please share your advice!

Thanks.

You and a couple of million tourists. See an earlier thread about "Taking
New England Vacation in October." This means that cheap lodgings are going
to be very difficult to find.

Providence has some B&B's that are in the Brown University area, very
historic plus lots of restaurants, theaters, galleries, shops and a
very nice museum. Everything in Rhode Island is less than a 90 minute
car ride so if you plan to rent a car, R.I. has picturesque little
towns with foliage or you could go to Newport and do the Cliffwalk on
the ocean. Foxwoods Casino is just over the Conn. border also if you
want glitter.

Uh, well, thanks for that.

I've called several places and, luckily, most still have availability.
What I'm looking for are specific recommendations on B&Bs or cabins
or some sweet hotels that would be appropriate to spend a honeymoon
in. At this point I'm leaning toward the White Mountains of New
Hampshire, but am anxious to hear any reccomendations.

Thanks.

I would recommend the Seven Dwarfs Motel in Twin Mountain, NH. Very
cute place,
and they have a "Honeymooner" room with fireplace.

Now *that's* what I'm talkin' about. Thank you for the
recommendation. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Is Historic the same as rustic? Every winter my husband and I stay at the
Wentworth Inn in Jackson NH. I can't say it is cheap, but it includes a
full breakfast and 3 course gourmet dinner every night.
They have rooms that have fireplaces and Jacuzzis and even one with a
private outdoor hot tub that is in the turret of the Inn.
Check them out at

I didn't check for availability, but you may luck out.
Good luck
and Congratulations!
Momma
