Oxford day trip

Thank you all for your suggestions. Do I have to request prior
permission to enter christ college and the Bodleian Library?

Just to avoid confusion, you don't have to take the guided tour on the
website above. Access to the quadrangle is free, as is access to the
Divinity School.

Otherwise, as stated previously, most colleges do not allow access
unless part of a guided tour.

I've just contacted an acquaintance in Oxford to see if there are
other colleges which allow visitors. I seem to remember one near
Christ Church that occasionally does.

You might have to wait a couple of days for an answer I'm afraid.
