What does "Free high speed internet" mean?
Hi,
I would like to use southwest airlines' online checkin service for my upcoming trip to Vegas. Its a nonstop, over 5 hours long, flight so being able to board in the beginning is crucial. Anyways, the flight departs at 7:45am, and we live aways from the airport, so we are staying overnight near the airport. And to use the online checkin I need internet access at midnight. So what does "free high speed internet access" mean on a hotel's list of amenities? I use a cable connection now. Are they talking about having a dataport for dial in access? Or are they talking about surfing through a webTV type thing? I'll have my laptop with me, should I bring an ethernet cable? Thanks, Jeff |

They will either have a wireless 902b or g wireless access point somewhere
in the hotel lobby or available from the rooms or will have a wired network that you will need to plug into. Some hotels will provide a loaner wireless card or cable if you don't have one while others require you to supply your own. Call the hotel directly to find out. None will provide any method of printing a boarding pass unless you use their business center. If you are going to use online checkin you will need a printer with you to print out your boarding passes as they will allow you to print them. Some airlines will not "replace" the boarding pass if you have already checked in online because they have no way of knowing if they were printed. (Extra boarding passes could be used to bypass security.) "Jeff Guay" wrote in message ... Hi, I would like to use southwest airlines' online checkin service for my upcoming trip to Vegas.
