YMCA in Hong Kong
Just a short note to readers to say that my wife and I recently stayed
at the YMCA in Hong Kong for the first time - the hotel is excellent, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's worth staying it, especially as it's located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. |

YMCA in Hong Kong
You think $120/night is reasonable for Hong Kong?? I've been going
there for over a decade and never spent over $100/night. Except for 1 stint in the Chungking Mansions, none of th eplaces were fleabags. Granted, they weren't suites in the Peninsula either. But realistically, how much time are you actually going to spend in the hotel room anyway when you're not sleeping? You're right, its not really necessary to spend US$120 for a reasonable hotel in Hong Kong. I often stay at the Wesley Hotel in Wanchai. Its about 15 years old now, and although the rooms are small, its clean it has facilities like cable TV, direct dial telephone, room service, fully carpeted rooms etc. Its within walking distance of the nightlife area of Wanchai, the Pacific Place shopping mall and public transportation. Online agents offer rooms there for around HK$450 a night (US$57) (J Asking) wrote in message We managed to get a rate of US$120 per night (quite reasonably by Hong Kong standards). So many roaches crawling on my face when I woke up in the morning... Where was that YMCA again? Todd www.wonderninja.com Buy and Sell YOUR Personalized Services! |
