Default Beware - credit card rip-off

Richard-
You obviously have no direct experience in a retail environment, where
rules, policies, and procedures are mandated by a corporate entity
located
miles ( and time zones ) away from where the sale takes place.

And you state "obey the rules". What "rules" are those?

And finally, it's not simply a matter of a clerk asking for assistance
in
many cases. Some POS systems *do not possess* the flexibility to
determine
different charge card exchange rates.

Your turn.

You suppose that some underpaid sales associate in the U.S. has

the
store management or corporate entity ( if there is one ). It is not
reasonable to expect a clerk to "ask you which currency you want to

be
bill
in", because they often times have *no control* over the transaction
processing ( speaking from first-hand experience ).

LH

So you are saying that it unreasonable to ask a sales clerk to obey
the rules. In my opinion that is a perfectly reasonable request.
If they can't sort it out themselves then they can ask for

assistance
