Carry-on for baby only?
Binyamin Dissen wrote:
This is from one of the Israeli mailing lists: I am going on Lufthansa #451 Chicago to Frankfurt and then Flight 686 Frankfurt to Tel Aviv on [date]. I am bringing a double stroller that I bought for my daughter, who lives in Israel, and just had second baby. The problem is that, it turns out, the stroller (even taken apart and collapsed into the frame) is oversize, and I will have to pay Lufthansa $155 extra fee to bring with me this $160 stroller! If I had a child, then I would be able to take it onboard the plane for free. So, I am looking for someone with a child who will be on this pair of flights, and who would be willing to meet me at the airport, we enjoy each other's company walking to the gate, and they put their child in the stroller to get on the plane for both legs of the trip. Otherwise, I am out $155. Does this make any sense? Is it possible to get a refund on the stroller? I think that people bringing a child needing a stroller, might be bringing their own stroller. |
