Several BA and AF flights cancelled again

British Airways and Air France have cancelled a number of US flights amid
fears al-Qaeda may be targeting them.
Flights BA 223 from London Heathrow to Washington on Sunday and Monday are
hit as well as return flights BA 222.

A BA flight to Miami on Sunday was also grounded on security advice, as were
four Air France flights.

The US Department of Homeland Security said that it remained "concerned
about al-Qaeda's desire to target aviation, especially international
aviation".


"The US intelligence community continues to gather specific credible threat
information on international flights," it added.

US officials said they had received reports of "al-Qaeda's desire to target"
five or six specific flights from Europe, Reuters news agency reported.

What model aircraft do BA and AF fly on these routes? In the 9/11
attacks, Al Qaida specifically chose flights that used Boeing 757/767
planes. If it turned out that the BA and AF flights in question used
the same or similar type aircraft, that would be ... interesting.

I think it's because they fear Al Qaeda has infiltrated those airlines and
their staffs.

Interestingly, a flight from Glasgow has been cancelled too. The CO
flight to Newark.

As long as authorities give wishy washy excuses, it can mean anything from
political tactics to serious threaths.

If these were specific terrorist threaths that were serious, they wouldn't
peep a word to the world media about this and let the terrorists show up at
the airport and strip search them and their luggage.

The fact that the Bush regime makes a point of telling the media is an
indication that this has more to do with political antics than serious
anti-terrorist tactics. Every couple of weeks, the Bush regime will issue the
same statement about the same flights just to keep americans in fear of
terrorism, which inctreases his chances for election.

What is possible is that the terrorists are testing which buttons result in
the bush regime sounding the alarm. When they press certain buttons which
don't result in the paranoid reactions of the USA government, they may figuure
it is a way to board those flights undetected.

What terrorists should do is to book an "Ossama Bin Laden" along with George W
Bush in a single reservation on just about every large US airline on a
specific day. And then watch how the Bush regime reacts to that.
