Default Travelling to Namibia

I live in New York City and would like to visit Namibia to see the Namib
Desert and Etosha National Park. I am a naturist and my travels are to
places that I can observe nature in all it's forms. I went to
travelocity.com and the airfare from NYC to Namibia, including
connecting flights in Senegal and South Africa, is $3,820 round trip!
Does anyone know some cheaper alternatives?

Thanks

Mike

The return airfare from London (Air Namibia)is £780. I am sure you can
get a return from New York for half that.

Get you flight sorted and I can give some great links for where you want
to go.

Your Sunday Times Travel section will have airfare
specialists selling tickets on South African Airways.
You should be able to buy a R/T ticket from JFK
to Windhoek for about $1400 - $1425, including all
taxes. I just checked for February, and that's a fare
that would give the consolidator a profit of about
$75 to $100, so you might do even better if you deal
with them.

I took Delta from Syracuse to Atlanta and South African Air to Johannesburg
and then to Windhoek back in 2001. Think the fare then was about $1500.
Don't forget Fequent Flyer Miles!
