Default Tourism In Riviera Maya...At What Price? Life/Death/Justice

It is so sad and unfortunate. I have experienced nothing near this
tragic
occurence, but I can tell you that there is little civil law in Mexico and
that
lies are part of the way things are handled there. Your only son's life
and future were stolen from him by the negligence of the
designer/builder/maintanence/management of a deathtrap that the Occidental
Grand Xcaret disguisted as a swimming pool. Believe me, they will continue
to lie even what it does not make any sense because they do not care about
your son, your family, or Brent's friends.

Go one day at a time, go as hard as you can, place your energy into
prevention, and saving other children from the lack of safety and regard
for life that management demonstrated.
Lobby for justice always, but expect little from a nation that has such
small regard for human life.
I will never go there again. I will always encourage people to avoid the
resort in Riviera Maya because no one will stand by them there when harm
happens or is near. Ever. Never
I lived and traded there for eight long hard years after an Army Career
only to return empty handed from a near lawless nation. Mexico is for
Mexicans only. They deal with the US because of the dollar...illegal
immigrate income
sent back to Mexico from dollars earned in US and drug trade are the two
largest incomes to Mexico. It's hard to expect more than an outward
concern from a lawless, corrupt society. They keep their real feelings
well hidden. The Mexican Government should charge the Grand Xcaret
management with criminal negligence, but you may never know the "real
arrangement". When you trade the soul and life of an innocent
child...what are you? NOTHING!

May God give you rest and peace.
