Default SQ extra peak service to Sydney

Singapore Airlines boosts flights to and from Sydney
Friday, 30 April 2004

Singapore Airlines will increase flights between Sydney and Singapore
with the addition of an extra weekly service between the end of June and the
end of September 2004.

The extra Boeing 777-200 service will leave Singapore on a Sunday
night, arriving early Monday morning. It will return to Singapore on Monday
afternoon in time for customers to connect with onward flights to European
and North Asian ports.

The extra flight will add around 4% capacity during the period on a
route which is already served by Singapore Airlines three times daily with
Boeing 747-400s. The extra services will provide over 4,000 additional seats
on what is already one of Singapore Airlines' busiest long haul routes.

SIA's Public Relations Manager South West Pacific, Stephen Forshaw,
said the extra flight would help meet peak demand and comes on top of recent
figures indicating strong growth in both outbound and inbound travel.

"The addition of this flight to help meet strong demand to and from
Sydney is a sign of the resilience of the Australian travel sector. Combined
with strong demand to and from other Australian points, this is further
evidence of the very strong rebound in demand for travel since 2003.

"This extra service comes on top of our recent decision to add there
services per week to Melbourne, rising to five from early September," Mr
Forshaw said.

The extra services will operate with a 3 class configuration and
provide a wide array of personal entertainment options in every seat through
Singapore Airlines' famous KrisWorld entertainment system.
