At one time, I was. I lived in aircraft. I belonged to three FF programs
(Delta's, American's and US Air's) and still belong to two, soon dropping
one. That will leave me with just AA. I


I can understand not flying much on carriers, but what do you lose by
staying in a program?

I presume that he means that he will no longer choose to fly on those
airlines. He probably made some of his flight choices based on FF miles.

I am probably the worst customer for FF programs. I will choose the best
schedule/price (non-stop being best). FF status only becomes a consideration
when it is a choice of among equals (or if FF status guarantees me an aisle
seat). I have never picked a connection to get FF points. I have had open-jaw
trips with multiple airlines.
