Hi bart! I was going over my stock portfolio and have a few extra hot
shares of BP that I could sell to you...as a friend should, of course.

and those worthless US government bonds?

Only a couple? That's all it took the French to get rid of you?

Two incursions pluss one additional CdG experiences(two ways) were more
than enough. There are no other countries I refuse to return to.

It sounds much better in French, but then, everything does.

The only time I had my pocket picked, was in the USA.

did they use a gun ?

It wasn't a robbery, it was a pick-pocketing.

If one buys Tilley products one won't have any money left to have stolen.

I'm not sure about that. I bought a Tilley hat in about 1995 (I think).
They're guaranteed for life, so when it wore out after about 10 years I
sent
it back and they duly sent me another which I'm still using.

I bought a sun hat in 1998 that has faded a bit but is otherwise as new.
It cost a fraction of the price of a Tilley hat.

But would it survive being eaten by an elephant?

I'm not sure I'd want it back after passing through an elephant.

It was supposed to have happened three times to an elephant trainer's hat in
Ontario

You certainly wouldn't want to eat your hat.
