Default OT - The Day After Christmas....

We were talking abut r.t.c. recently and how much fun it used to be and how
mean spirited it has gotten recently and I was reminded of a Christmas post
I made after Christmas in 1997. So here is my Christmas present to
r.t.c.... a repost of something that I hope you will find amusing and my
promise that I'm going to try real hard to lighten the mood around here in
2007.

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to all!

Tis the day after Christmas....

'tis the day after Christmas
and I'm in a snit
trying to assemble
some things that don't fit

Instructions in English,
Spanish and French
do not match the parts
that I beat with a wrench

Just insert Tab "A"
straight into Slot "B"
The damn thing don't fit
as any fool can see

I need three of part "M"
and I only have two
Post Christmas construction
is making me blue

I've had enough
I can't take any more
I'll make this thing fit
Where the hell is my saw?

There, now I'm all finished
it doesn't look bad
it looks like a bookcase
why are you so mad?

A television table?
Oh give me a break
if you wanted a damn TV table, why the hell didn't you just go buy one? Look
at me! Do I look like Bob Villa? This ain't no flannel shirt and Norm isn't
outside with $2 million worth of power tools to finish the job either. What
do you mean "easy assembly"? If you're so smart, why don't you put it
together? Your brother? Your brother can't find his ass with both hands and
a
road map even when he's sober and you think that he can do a better.......

Actually it was VERY mean spirited from the intimidation and threats
Ray Goldenberg had given to his dissenters LONG before 1997! I
did my research (by looking through the history of readers' reaction
to Ray's spamming) before my battle against his spamming, which
cost me TWO posting IDs because of the CONSPIRACY of Ray,
with Dick Goldenberg in their PUBLIC posts about "hitting the abuse
key" even before I posted ANYTHING when the first was sabbotaged
and Dick G spied that I was posting something in sci.stat.math, my
home newsgroup this year.

So, George, while your post had the right SPIRIT, your facts weren't
quite accurate. This had been a MEAN SPIRITED newsgroup ever
since it began, and it's just getting worse by the day.

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to all!

Tis the day after Christmas....

Well, in the right spirit I will wish you a Merry Christmas, Bob.

Dang (that's Texan for Dammit!). I was trying for historical
amoebic-pentameter but must not have had enough money to buy the proper
vowells.

Thank you George. You have always proven yourself to be a man of
SOME not a whole lot, but some G) good sense (and spirit), and
so I wish you the same personally this time even though I had already
posted my Christmas tree greeting to everyone days ago.

I actually thought about offering a limerick for the LOL tm (Little
Old Ladies) of this group, but withheld it in honor of your spirit.
